Robert Shindler was a Baptist minister and a close friend and associate of the influential Baptist pastor and theologian Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-92). Shindler wrote a biography of Spurgeon entitled "From the Usher's Desk to the Tabernacle Pulpit" (Passmore & Alabaster, 1892.
