Capt. Robert Blennerhassett, of Castle Conway, Co. Kerry, born est c.1622, a Captain in the Cromwellian army in the 1641-9 period, married Avice Conway [descendant of Henry I, co-heiress of Castle Conway, Killorglin, Co.Kerry, which now passed into the Blennerhassett family]. Capt. Robert Blennerhassett was MP for Tralee 1674, and High Sheriff of Co.Kerry 4th Jan - 23rd Nov 1682.
