Note on Husband: Stephen Dee

Will of Stephen Dee of the Parish of Sunning Hill Berks blacksmith, stricken in years, 21 Aug 1710. To be buried in Sunninghill churchyard; I desire that my debts owing on my smith's shop book may be called in and that all the goods thereto appertaining (except the shop and working tools belonging to that employment) and that when my book debts and other debts due out of my trade shall be got in that the money may be disposed of in paying my just debts; to wife Martha the goods in my dwelling house for life and to live in that house which I purchased of Sir Thomas Draper rent free or if she shall not like to live there she may live in the house which I purchased of Robert Russell and Elizabeth his wife; to Stephen Dee my third son twenty pounds and to Robert Dee my servant and youngest son ten pounds at 21; to Elizabeth Early fifteen shillings a year or eight pounds in money at her own disposal separate from her husband; to Mary Dee my youngest daughter ten pounds when I have been dead three years if she be not able to get her own living; to William Dee my eldest son the house and land which I purchased of Robert Russell paying such debts which he knoweth he is concerned in; to John Dee my second son the house and land wherein I now live which i purchased of Sir Thomas Draper and also the smith's shop and working tools; all stock on my farm to my wife Martha and to my two eldest sons William and John, that is to say my cow cattle oxen sheep and horses, but the sheep my son Robert's godfather gave him I desire he may enjoy and also the sheep which my son Stephen hath he may also enjoy; my waggon cart plows harrows also to my wife Martha and to my two eldest sons who are to be executors to their mother and to possess the goods; sons William Dee and John Dee execs.
