Aujard, Australian journalist and short-story writer, died suddenly, following a heart attack, at his home in Kilmartin street, Essendon, on Sunday night. Mr. Aujard had had a varied career, having been a trader and planter in the South Seas, school teacher, marine, engineer, artificer in the Royal Australian Navy, and a journalist of wide experience. For one of his stories, "Sunnyside or Suicide " his name was Included in a list of the 12 best short-story writers In the world In 1929.

    Mr. Aujard, who was aged 51 years, leaves a widow and four young children.
