Charles James Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie (3 June 1802 - 22 May 1844) was a British politician, the second son of James Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 1st Baron Wharncliffe.

He was an observer at the French siege of Antwerp in 1832, and wrote an account of the affair.

On 17 February 1831 he married Lady Emmeline Manners (d. 1855), daughter of John Manners, 5th Duke of Rutland, by whom he had three children.

He died in 1844 of the effects of a hunting accident suffered earlier in life.

Note on Wife: Emmeline Manners

Lady Emmeline Stuart-Wortley née Manners (1806 - 20 October 1855) was an English poet, best known for her "Travels in the United States, etc. during 1849 and 1850". She was a daughter of the 5th Duke of Rutland and on 17 February 1831, she married Hon. Charles Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, a son of the 1st Baron Wharncliffe.

After the death of her husband in 1844, she led a peripatetic life. She died of dysentery while travelling from Antioch to Beirut in 1855.
