On the 6th inst. at St James's Church, Sydney, Henry Martyn, eldest surviving son of Matthew Andrew, to Mary Constance Minna, only surviving daughter of the late William Gilpin Dredge, and step-daughter of Carl Fischer, of Sydney. Per Argus (Melbourne, Vic.) 7 Oct 1896: Mrs. Carl Fisher, well known in Sydney as a musical critic and journalist, died early this morning, after a comperitively brief illness. One of her daughters married Mr. Desborough, well known on the stage as Mr. Lawrence Cautley, the other married Captain Inskip.
