Killingworth Michael Fentham Hedges was my great uncle by marriage. My family lived with him for the last 6 years of his life. He married my step great aunt Lucy Dorothy Curling. KMF Hedges retired from the British army with the honorary rank of Briagdier having been the Director of Mechanisation between 1942 and 1945. Uncle Michael and Auntie Tootie as we knew them had no children of their own but were always very welcoming of their great nephew and nieces.
