The Ayling home was directly across from the Coaticook River Gorge, which was closer to North Coaticook than Coaticook, and once Christ Church was built in North Coaticook that was where the family attended. The minister sometimes wrote "Ayling of Coaticook" and sometimes "Ayling of North Coaticook." My father said that all of the children were born at the Ayling home. You can see the brick house on Google maps at the end of the suspension bridge they now have over the Coaticook River Gorge -- on Child Street corner of Frontenac, now the home and practice of a chiropractor.
