Frederick Perigal, baptised 7th March, 1812, at St. Mary's, N.B. ; married at St. George's, Everton, the sister of his brother's wife. He was upwards of forty years in the Admiralty, and became the head of his division ; he served on various Official Committees, both at the Admiralty and War Office. He published a "Chart of Naval History" (referred to as an authority in the new Edition of the Encyc. Brit., see Article "Navy") and other compilations. He is the Trustee of the Thatched House Club, of which he was the originator and chief promoter, when it was established as "The Civil Service Club."
